Lamette’s vision for Design Forum 2018 – ALTRUISM
We are Lamette, Lamia & Anette!
For Designforum, we developed new unique showpieces, based on our collection Bubbles and Balloons and inspired by ethnic jewelry.
We hope that our bubbles and balloons will express joy and bring a smile to your face. We also hope that the ethnic expression in our pieces, and the mix of colourful folklore and modern design, will show the similarity and closeness in different cultures. We wish for them to symbolise humanity, and an open community where the inclusion of all people is the natural state of things.
Our collection Bubbles and Balloons is handmade in Stockholm of recycled silver and gold, with ethically mined precious stones. Therefore we put a Green Dot on every piece! Our goal is to make beautiful and unique jewelry collections in a fair and environmentally friendly way.
The world is in need of altruism, even the smallest of deeds. We would like to do our part.

You will find the Green Dot is on all of Lamette’s jewelry and stands for our ethical practices. We strive to be as green as possible by trying to control our entire production chain. We do our best to contribute to a better environment and to better working conditions for suppliers. We do this by using recycled gold and silver, and by selecting our suppliers carefully, giving preference to those that follow environmentally strict rules and regulations. When purchasing new material, we strive to buy precious metals from wholesalers who deal with Fair-trade Certified mines whenever possible, such as buying our diamonds from the Argyle mines in Australia. And we endeavor to trace the origins of the colored stones used in our silver collections by pushing our suppliers to be transparent with their methods. All our jewelry is made in Sweden under our strict watchful eye.
